Day 2, Sunday - Lechlade to Bablock Hythe
I've got a feeling this whole blog is going to be a day behind. I'm writing this at 11:00 on Monday night after doing 31 miles, we started at 7:45 thi morning and got off the water at 10:00 this evening; I can't type because the fingers of my right hand won't move from a gripping action wehre I've been holding teh paddle, excuse teh speling mistakes, I can't be bothered to change them but will go back and edit later.Anyway, Monday saw us negotiate our first lock and it was a lot more straightforward than we expected, nobody got crushed by wayward narrowboats or flooded throiugh being too close to the sluice gatges - dead easy. We did 19.8 miles and ended up at the Ferrymans pub, the men wimped out and got rooms while Liz insisted she wanted to camp, she's more of a man than we are.
I've got a problem with Motionbased at the moment so will have to upload later, sorry for that. I'm going now, I hope I'll wake up in the morning!
Here's Motion based now:

I feel very guilty sitting on the office chair reading this - the weather has been shocking! 30 miles a day is bad enough without tropical thunderstorms and 30+deg heat. The underground was 42deg on Monday according to the news, a suit and tie was no fun... I thought of you guys and felt better!
I hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel appearing when you read this - I can imagine the thought of the bike sections must be very appealing...your top speed will rise by a factor of 10?
Hang in there lady and gents - we are talking and thinking about you in Hemel.
All the best, Jon K
